New Diabetes supermarket tour launched

Bradford team of diabetes dietitians have just launched a new diabetes supermarket tour venue at Tesco's Great Horton Road.  Tours are carried out at other Tesco,Asda and Morrison's supermarkets throughout Bradford. The tours take about an hour and focus on diet and diabetes.  They look at food labelling, sensible eating habits and offer practical advice on food shopping and cooking.  People with diabetes or their families/carers can book directly onto a tour of their choice.  Ring us on 01274 365925 for details of dates, times and venues and to book a place.

The dietitians also organise Diabetes drop in sessions at various Bradford venues like libraries and community centres.  People can just drop in for advice or information from a dietitian,diabetes specialist nurse of podiatrist.  Call 01274 365884 for venues/dates of drop-ins in the next few months.

We do of course see patients individually at  their GP surgeries, satellite clinics and the BRI diabetes unit and diabetes antenatal clinics.  Additionally patients can be referred to our outpatients at Horton Wing, St Luke's Hospital and various community health centres.

Weight management services for people with diabetes and some informative group sessions including in Urdu.
