Introduction

The OT service within Neurology is gradually expanding. We are headed by a clinical specialist in neurology and provide an OT service in 3 main areas.

• Stroke Unit
• Neurology Ward
• Neuro Rehab Team

The Neuro Rehab Team

This team is based at SLH and consists of OT's, Physios and therapy assistants. PT's with a variety of neurolgical conditions are referred to the team for assessment.;treatment; support through their illness/condition; splinting; provision of equipment if appropriate. PT's are predominantly seen in their own home, but they can be seen on site or at one of the locality sites.
