Child Development Centre

We provide specialist assessment and intervention for children up to the age of 12 years who have neuro-developmental disorders, disabilities and complex health needs

About our Service


Location

The service operated within CDC at St Lukes Hospital, Bradford and is part of the multi-discplinary tems within the CDC
Outpatients - Child Development Centre, St Lukes Hospital, Bradford
Home Visits are also carried out where necessary

Referral Criteria

For children with developmental problems, disability or complex health needs where concerns exist about development, behaviour or other psychological issues

Referral Pathway

We take referrals from the paediatricians who work in CDC, community paediatricians and general paediatricians, and other health professionals who make up the CDC team

Additional Information

The team uses a combination of comprehensive assessment methods, observation, interviews, information gathering.  The information can then be used as a basis to decide on approppriate intervention.  Clinicians often develop programmes to help and support families.
